The illustrator imi’s fourth style artwork, “INSANE,” is officially launched

During the Winter 23 creator submission event, imi’s work “Pcute” introduced this illustrator to many for the first time.
The piece stood out in the global voting and also attracted more artists who specialize in anime-style illustrations to participate in subsequent submission events.

After reimagining “Pcute” as “Pcute: Re,” imi now brings us their fourth work of 2025 — “INSANE.”

The Design Concept Behind “INSANE”:
“ Although VAXEE has previously released mousepads featuring cool styles through landscapes or themed designs, this time I wanted the ‘cool illustration style’ to encourage users who didn’t originally pay attention to VAXEE because of cute or pretty designs to also pick up VAXEE products because of this artwork.

When I was creating Pcute, I actually had the thought, ‘I hope VAXEE can have this kind of mousepad as well.’ The mindset I had while creating INSANE this time is very similar to how I felt back then.”

Looking back at imi’s past works, most were built on warm and rich color palettes.
This time, however, imi experiments with an entirely new black-and-gray illustration style, accented with bold, contrasting text.
The goal is to offer those who appreciate this kind of visual aesthetic a fresh new option.

The “INSANE” mousepad will be available in the following two models:
