Last week, we released firmware optimization updates for the XE, NP series, and AX wireless mice. A few users encountered issues with the receiver not being updated. We are currently investigating the problem, and it may be due to potential conflicts with certain software on the computer host. However, after testing on computers where updates couldn't be performed, we found that updating the firmware was successful when the computer entered "safe mode" before initiating the update. Therefore, for those experiencing difficulties updating, here are the detailed steps. (If you can update without any issues, please disregard this message.)

Please first download the mouse firmware to your computer and extract it. Then follow the steps below to enter Safe Mode and update the firmware.

If you are using the Windows 11 system, please follow these steps:
  1. Right-click on the “Windows icon” in the taskbar, then select “Settings”.
  2. In the left-hand menu, select “System”, then choose “Recovery” from the right-hand menu.
  3. Under the “Advanced startup” option, select “Restart now”. Your computer will restart, so please ensure that any ongoing work is saved.
  4. After rebooting, your device will enter the Windows Recovery Environment. Select “Troubleshoot”.
  5. Click on “Advanced options”.
  6. Click on “Startup Settings”.
  7. Click on ”Restart”.
  8. You will now see the Startup Settings menu. Press the “4” key on your keyboard to enter Safe Mode.
  9. After your computer boots into Safe Mode, proceed to execute the firmware update again.
  10. Once the update is complete, restart your computer to return to normal mode for regular use.

If you are using the Windows 10 system, please follow these steps:
  1. Right-click on the "Windows icon" located on the taskbar, then select "Settings".
  2. Select "Update & Security".
  3. Choose "Recovery" from the options on the left-hand side. Then, within the right-hand menu, locate "Advanced startup" and press the "Restart now" button. Your computer will reboot, so make sure to save any ongoing work beforehand.
  4. After the device restarts, it will enter the Windows Recovery Environment (Windows RE). Click on "Troubleshoot".
  5. Click on "Advanced options".
  6. Click on "Startup Settings".
  7. Click on "Restart".
  8. You will now see the Startup Settings menu. Press the "4" key on your keyboard to enter Safe Mode.
  9. Once your computer boots into Safe Mode, proceed to run the firmware update again.
  10. After the update is complete, restart your computer to return to normal mode for regular usage.
